Hi!
I'm Leslie Rose
Children's media content specialist with proven success in creating specialized, unique digital material for kids
I'm the former social media manager for the number one kids’ music brand, an experienced content creator, and a web developer who is especially passionate about the front end of kids' applications. I care deeply about creating impactful electronic materials for children that enrich minds, encourage exploration, and provide unforgettable experiences no matter their background or experience level.
I received my Master’s in Children’s Media from NYU. While living in New York City, I had the privelege of studying with children’s media industry leaders, and interning and working at companies like Sesame Workshop. I'm very detail-oriented and focused, and I have worked in the children's media field remotely for over a decade. I am also the puppeteer of Bleeckie Streetie and am developing an animated children's television show focused on music literacy. I hope to continue using my experience and skills to empower children to excel creatively and academically.I've created, published, and moderated social content for 60+ accounts, strengthened brand awareness through social media partner posts, and developed and executed specialized campaigns to increase followers and engagement.
Through specialized strategies, materials, outreach, customer support, presentations, and curricular advisement, I've helped support successful programming, strengthened brand relationships, and developed new programs.
By participating in an intensive 24-week long boot camp, I built web apps and improved my skills in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap, Firebase, Node.js, MySQL, MongoDB, Express, Handlebars.js, and ReactJS. I most recently applied these skills in my role as a Club Success Specialist at Girls Who Code.
My puppet, Bleeckie Streetie, was nominated for a Lonestar Emmy in 2012, and has been featured numerous times throughout the US, including in hospitals, museums, and media outlets.
In addition to creating digital children's content for various organizations, I currently have an animated children's television show in development.
